- French President Emmanuel Macron has protested against the reform of the public railway company SNCF in the Northern Basque Country. Railroad workers, energy workers and civil servants have taken to the streets.
There were 113 demonstrations in different parts of the French state on Thursday against Macron’s policies. For the eighth time they have protested and managed to keep a third of the railway network. Protesters have denounced that reforms can lead to a rupture of the social model.
On the other hand, several students have protested against the new law of access to the university. Fifteen universities have been closed.
