The Ehun movement shows with one action the racist character of the border between Iparralde and Hegoalde
  • A white citizen has crossed the border between Irun and Hendaia on two occasions: on the first he has had no problems; on the second, after painting the black face, he has been stopped by the police. The movement has called for the need for the Basque republic to "recover" the liberties abroad.

The video recorded on 18 March shows how a young white man crosses the bridge smoothly, passing by the police station on the spot. Fifteen minutes later, he goes back across the border, with his face painted black, and a police officer approaches him to identify him.

In his exhibition, the Ehun movement has affirmed that the border between Iparralde and Hego Euskal Herria is "imposed" and that with the "excuse" of the fight against terrorism "they paralyze people fleeing terror". Ehun wanted to denounce the "racist" character of the border by trying to "deceive" the police. The citizen movement has called on the citizens to "recover sovereignty" through the Basque republic and, in this way, to enroll in the initiative "I am prepared".
