The ruling of the Provincial Court of Bizkaia that issued at the end of November the trial for the death of Iñigo Cabacas continues to accumulate controversy in many Basque localities.
In Bilbao, relatives and friends of Cabacas have concentrated this Wednesday in a central street of Bilbao. The protests have taken place at the police station of the Ertzaintza de Deusto, in the courts of Bilbao and within the delegation of the Basque Government. They have denounced the "impunity" of the sentence, which has been appealed by the National Court.
They have also clarified that they will continue to mobilise against this "unfair" judgment. In this regard, they have called to participate in the "great" demonstration that will take place on 16 December, from 12:00 a.m., from the Palace of Justice to the seat of the Government of Lakua in Bilbao.
In Vitoria-Gasteiz, demonstrations have also been organized for the afternoon of Thursday, in the Plaza del Gaztetxe, Iraultza 1921, Indar Baskonia, Negeak and ERNAI. The organizers have called to go to the courts of Vitoria-Gasteiz with a garbage bag to the demonstration that under the motto “This justice is garbage”.
