The project was born in Astigarraga in 2014 and over four years several women from more than 40 towns and countries have woven a collective loop of more than four kilometers. "In each meeting the fight against violence has been consolidated," said Isabel Otero, a member of the men's and women's school for equality in Astigarraga.

In addition, the loop created during these four years has traveled through different autonomous communities of the Spanish state and around the world. Part of it is in Sweden, for example. It has thus been completed thanks to the participation of associations and collectives from many countries.

In November of last year, for example, they received a visit from the ATLCR (Association Against Risky Attitudes in Tunez) in Astigarraga and participated in events against macho violence. Now they want to disseminate in the Basque Country the campaign called Matazas contra la violencia sexista, in which Amasa-Villabona, among others, will participate together with Beasain.

Eneko Urdangarin, Councillor for Social Policy, Migration and Parity of the City Council of Villabona, mentioned the intentions for November 25 of this year: "We want to weave these muffins in the village and invite the agents of the village." They have spoken with the local schools and at the beginning of the course they will work on the subject, in addition to linking the matazas, they will develop other projects. From the 17th to the 25th of November, the Olaeder Sports Centre and the Santiago headquarters will also participate in the initiative and during this week the local merchants will be proposed to decorate the shop windows related to this theme.

The municipal workers have been proposed to weave their own fabric and have been invited to hang it from the balcony of the town hall, "in this way the building will be decorated," said Urdangarin. All municipal groups have supported this campaign against sexist violence.
