A total of 1,762 complaints of male violence were filed in the first quarter in Hego Euskal Herria
  • The complaints filed in the courts of Hego Euskal Herria are 6.82% less than in the first quarter of last year. However, the Observatory against Gender Violence of the Judiciary has admitted that the state of alarm decreed in March has affected the courts.

Although the state of alarm did not allow the courts of violence against women to be paralyzed in March, the Observatory has denounced that the pandemic has affected and that women who have been confined at home with the aggressor have not been able to do so.

In most cases, it was the victims themselves who presented the complaint, and otherwise their family members.
