The counties of Llanada Alavesa have launched the programme of support for women. From June to September they will be given the opportunity to receive aid in it.
It is a service aimed at women in the region over 16 years of age. The initiative will offer spaces for personal and collective empowerment. In addition, users will be able to count on a free advisory service and public institutional support from the municipalities of the Llanada Alavesa.
The group empowerment sessions will be dynamized by a social educator and psychologist from the Sortzen Association. Individual sessions with a psychologist will also be offered. The objective is to provide concrete tools for the management of traumatic events experienced.
Although the service will be offered in Salvatierra/Agurain, the other municipalities in the region will also be able to participate in the program, and will be a bus service directed to them. There will also be a childcare service.
Although it is an action created by the municipalities of the Cuadrillas de la Llanada, the service will be coordinated with the feminist movement of the region and with the associations of local women.
