On the evening of December 18, Iñaki Murua Jauregi (Gabiria, 1956) will rise to the stage of Nafarroa Arena and will be in charge of putting the txapela to the winner of the Bertsolaris General Championship. This has been decided by the Bertsolarism Amateurs Association, thanks for their great work.

Besides bertsolari, Iñaki has been a great agent of the Bertsolari movement. In 1982 he first presented himself as bertsolari to the Bertsolaris National Championship, reaching the final in 1986 and 1989. He was also a finalist at the 1991 and 1995 Gipuzkoa championships.

He has done a constant job in Motors: From Gabiria to Euskal Herria. Between 2005 and 2018 he was president of the Bertsolaris Association of the Basque Country.

Iñaki has always been very present in the world of bertsolarism, whether it has been lehendakari or not. It remains a very important figure in the Bertsozale Association. It is always dedicated to love and care, and all young people, adults, volunteers, workers and relatives of the bertso world are very valued.

The Bertsozale Elkartea Association wanted to pay this special tribute at the end, even though the work done is irreversible, as a recognition of merit.
