On Monday, November 9, Iñaki Bilbao was transferred to a hospital with difficulty breathing. On Wednesday he was re-admitted to the ward of the Cadiz prison in Puerto III, Cadiz. According to the Pro Amnesty Movement, last Thursday, through a phone call, he informed his environment that he was going to go on a hunger strike and communication in advance, disconvening the 10-day strike.

Therefore, the previous 50 days of hunger strike and communication have to be added to the 10 days of hunger strike and thirst that have been given so far.

Sortu: The Bilbao fight "makes no sense"

Sortu published a note on Bilbao’s protest earlier this week in the Upper Chamber. In his view, the initiative "makes no sense, since it has no objections or requests that can be made, and has nothing to do with the historical political culture of the Abertzale Left or with the ways in which we have worked in our commitment to our people". Since the demands of the Bilbao strike are independence and socialism, in the opinion of Sortu, "raised thus, this initiative has only one possible end: Inñaki's death" and, as they stressed, "that's not what the party wants."
