Aula de Cultura, Historia y nuevo boletín para el curso 2024-25
  • The Ikusgela project, an initiative to work with audiovisual material in education, has begun the third year today. Although he has so far published 92 videos, during this school year the frequency will increase, a video will be published every Tuesday and Thursday and 100 more will be published between September and May. Today the course begins with a new selection of the Basque culture. In particular, the first video will summarize the press in Basque through an 8-minute animation video. Then there will be the Basque filmmakers, the Basque cinema, the Basque theatre and the Basque Renaissance, among others. Another novelty that brings the course, the Ikusgela newsletter.

Euskal Wikilarien Kultur Elkartea is in charge of driving Ikusgela and the videos are inserted into Wikipedia, as well as in YouTube and the web ikusgela.eus. To date, published videos have been incorporated into more than 408 free encyclopedia articles. To date Ikusgela has published 92 informative videos: It is divided into Philosophy, Economy, Basque Literature, Environment, Digital Challenges, Universal Literature and Zortziko Txiki. The initiative was presented in 2022 and over the course publishes 2-3 weekly videos.

After addressing today the issues of Basque culture (we glued the press video below), a video pack of history will be launched on Thursday 19. Next week the project will continue with the creation of Digital Challenges. This series began last year, presented by Leire Palacios and managed in collaboration with Badalab. In the fall there will also be videos about philosophy and about universal literature.

Among the novelties of the section, Danel Pascual will present the series Claves to understand the story, which will have a duration of 7-10 minutes for each of the videos. The videos will collect the keys of each historical period, always with humor and in a fresh tone. The six of the first batch will leave every two weeks. Among other things, we will talk about the Neolithic, the Kingdom of Pamplona, the Basque whalers and the Berlin Wall. The video scripts have been produced by Mikel Álvarez and Lander Arretxea, and behind the production is the producer Bira.

Another novelty that the course brings is the newsletter, to be informed of the contents of the Audiovisual Classroom. All videos that may have been seen in each season of the year can be received by email. Subscribe here.
