Several agents warn that the City of San Sebastian has approved the construction of an “illegal” housing in Igeldo. To denounce it, they will make an appearance at Plaza de Igeldo on 24 (11:00). They also report that they have come to court.

They advance the reasons why housing is illegal. “The municipal decision to rebuild an expropriated farmhouse in Martutene in Igeldo has opened a speculative path that allows to locate in Igeldo all the homes expropriated by public works,” they explain. They add that the building lacks rural typology: “The authorized building is a real chalet that in no case fulfills the legal obligation of the image of the traditional farmhouses of the area.”

They denounce that this is an unlicensed building and that the irregularities are “incredible”: “Two illegal licenses have been granted for this building. In addition, the building has been built in a place other than that provided for in both licenses. For the construction of the basement 100% has been authorized, when the standard only allows 60% and a license has been granted to a land without access, so they have had to occupy and use a municipal property without authorization.”
