Among the agents who have signed the manifesto are the unions LAB, ESK, EHNE, Steilas, Hiru and CGT, as well as youth movements of the Region of Pamplona and Navarra, platforms of pensioners and unemployed, Bilgune Feminista or racism SOS and similar associations. The signatories have joined the demands of the workers of the company of Peralta and explained that this conflict is "an exponent of a serious problem that survives in Navarre".
These agents consider that they “exploit” workers who regularly work in rural areas throughout the year: “It is not necessary to go to Almeria to increase the benefits of a few, to see the patron abuse of migrants in vulnerable situations,” they say.
They asked the public institutions of Navarre to intervene in the conflict for a "real negotiation" between workers and the company, and encouraged farmers and citizens to attend the Solidarity Day to be held on 11 January at the Paseo Sarasate in Pamplona. Among other things, the LAB trade union has organized a Basque Arabic food, with talks and an open micro and a curfew in front of the Parliament of Navarra.
The workers of Huerta de Peralta have been on strike since 26 December last, claiming the readmission of the workers dismissed by the management of the company, the liquidation of the amounts due to the workers under the provincial convention and the opening of a negotiation for an enterprise pact.
