Saturday 20 is 49 years since the assassination of Roke Xabier Mendez Villada, a 21-year-old Santurtziarra poet, and of José Luis Mondragon Moral, a 27-year-old mondragonese on the Asturiaga de Hondarribia beach. Both were shot dead by an infiltrated police officer.

The Asturian Memory Association 1974 pays tribute to a Santurtziarra killed by the Spanish police and the Civil Guard and to the murders of the mondragonese “so that they do not remain with the hole of oblivion”. The date is 12:00 on the same beach. Attendees will request “Justice”.
