Through these lines I will explain a simple idea. Linguistic strike.

We know different kinds of strikes. The most extreme, because of their serious personal consequences, are hunger and thirst strikes. The most curious thing for our image would be the “Japanese” strike, which instead of failing to produce, is to generate excess production, making the handling of the product produced in excess become a problem for the company due to the difficulty of storage and marketing. On the other hand, the type of job strike most known in the labor conflicts in our environment, the refusal to work, to produce in hours or days, that is, to produce nothing in the face of a business or administrative problem.

On the subject of strikes, I believe that perhaps minority language speakers as a result of the fact that the Basque language is a minority language, in certain situations in which the use of the Basque language is denied and hindered, in most cases unfairly, can be a good tool to combat it, the Linguistic Strike. It can also serve to protest against the repeated unfair judgments being handed down by the courts against Euskera in the area of justice.

Undoubtedly, various associations and entities working in Euskalgintza and Herrigintza should reach a consensus through joint reflections and interviews on what this possible Linguistic Strike would consist of, how, when, who, whom, why and for what. Some examples of these points are given below:

- What it would consist of: to keep firmly the use of Euskera in situations where the right to use Euskera is violated, to make the brand, company or entity that wants to get something from us, that if you want to achieve something, you must respect the linguistic right to communication in Euskera.

- Who: the Basques we want to live in Basque.

- Anyone who does not respect the language law of Basque speakers. Major companies and trademarks, public institutions and their representatives... Among the public institutions are the courts, the Ertzaintza and Osakidetza, one of the organizations with which the use of Euskera is more difficult in their relations.

- How: With the interaction of the agents working in Euskalgintza and Herrigintza, establishing a time for the Linguistic Strike.

- Why: the personal effort not to give up the right to use Euskera on a daily basis is disappointing, as the struggle to carry it out alone is excessive in most cases. And also risky, before various public bodies or their representatives.

- For what purpose: an initiative of this kind would give some support to the daily efforts of individuals, knowing that this is an effort and initiative organized and carried out by more people, which would serve to demonstrate that the question of a coveted individual is something absolutely general from what it seems.

The Linguistic Strike, as well as the Basque language, would also serve the other minority languages, of course.
