On Tuesday, Criminal Court No. 2 in Vitoria-Gasteiz published the resolution, imposing a three-year prison sentence on Miren Larrión. It shall also pay a fine of EUR 2,835. The former spokesman for the City of Vitoria of EH Bildu has been charged with three crimes: civil state usurpation, with the aggravating of having used the costume for this purpose, documentary falsification and theft. It remains to be seen whether the resolution is applied as it is or whether the prison sentence is exchanged for work for the benefit of the community, a possibility that was raised between the two parties.

The judge has taken into account the attenuating "psychic change" when deciding the sentence, considering it proven that at the time of the facts he was suffering a "stress and anxiety disorder" in Larrio, which affected his "capacities of will and intelligence".

In particular, the events that occurred between December 2020 and February 2021. Larrión stole a portfolio from a member of EH Bildu to obtain his documentation and hired, among others, a bank account and a phone line to his name, for which he also adapted his physical appearance. On February 22, 2021, he was arrested for these facts and Larrión ceased to serve, accepting the "mistake" he made. "At the time I didn't realize that opening an account on the bank on behalf of a colleague, in addition to an error, was a cry to ask for help. I was lucky and that cry was heard," he said through social media.
