The week of the black novel in Basque is celebrated for the eleventh time, from 20 to 26 January. Many activities will take place in different locations in the Baztan Valley. These are presentations of books, round tables, talks and cultural events, and participation in the activities is free of charge.
On January 20 H)ilbeltza starts and the protagonist will be the novel Amazurtza by Joxan Oiz Arruti, who will present the work in the house of Dr. Arizkun at 19:30 in the afternoon. On 22 January, for its part, Idoia Santamaría will offer a colloquium guided by the adventures and misfortunes of Commissioner Bärlach in the society of Aniz at 19:00.
The weekend will be the turn of the main events. Saturday, January 25, will be the big day, the black day. In the morning there will be a round table in Elizondo on how to create a criminal (unintentionally) and at noon a meal in Erratzu.
Food will be the only act of payment and tickets must be purchased. Sending an email to ilbeltzabaztanen@gmail.com will be enough to do this.
Continuing with the black day, two books will be presented in the afternoon: Izaskun Gracia of Quintana and daughter of the Lehendakari of Iñaki Petxarromán. In the evening, the day will be closed with a game of enigmas under the Moon in Erratzu.
On Sunday, January 26, the black Xartolako Axeriitzulia will take place from 11:00 in the morning from Azpilkueta and in the afternoon, at 19:00, the Odolfo Kantari show will end the black week.
