Khader Adnan, Palestinian prisoner on hunger strike dies

Khader Adnan was a well-known member of the Palestinian group Jihad Islamikoa. He was 44 years old and was on hunger strike for almost three months against his administrative detention. He had the sixth hunger strike in recent years, according to Palestinian media Maan News. The longest hunger strike so far was held on 5 February, accused of "linking with terrorist acts". 12 arrests in recent years.

From the last arrest he was on hunger strike and also resigned to medical treatment. After 87 days he is found unconscious in the jail cell of Israel. IPS Israel prison service confirms Adnan's death after his transfer to the hospital and Wafa agency reports Adnan's death.

Khader Adnan is the 236 Palestinian killed by Israel since 1967, according to Maan News. 75 of them have died of "medical indifference." Jihad Islamikoa warns they will avenge the death of this new martyr.
