He is the second deceased worker in Navarre in a few days. On September 22, a 60-year-old worker died who was taken to the hospital after suffering a heart attack while working in the Essity bin of Allo. In total, 59 workers have died in Euskal Herria for work or work reasons, according to the LAB union, sixteen of them in Navarra.
It stresses that employers are responsible for putting the necessary conditions in place to ensure the health of workers, and that the reason for not taking these measures is that the administration does not carry out sufficient control and monitoring.
LAB calls on the Government of Navarra, the Navarro Institute for Public and Occupational Health and the Labour Inspectorate to put in place the necessary means to give effect to the occupational health measures of companies.
