On 15 June, concentrations will be held, convened by the Steilas, ELA, CCOO and UGT trade unions, in favour of the Department of Education denouncing measures that will violate workers' rights and that the substitutes charge and mark the summer.
The Department of Education has begun to make changes for the next year, for example, as regards the summer levy, it wants to launch a new proposal. In particular, it proposes that the August holidays be paid out to the substitutes at the end of each contract. The unions say that the new measure creates uncertainty, as there is a lack of definition in terms of score and quotation, and also in the July recovery.
Trade unions stress that the suspension of recognition of 165 days, approved in the 2010 Regulatory Agreement, is unacceptable: “On the one hand, because it attacks the substitute sector and, on the other, because it increases inequality between civil servants’ and interim rights.”
Convening
In Donostia-San Sebastián, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Bilbao, at the level of the Territorial Delegation, concentrations will be held at 18:00 hours.
