As planned, the Committee on Education of the Basque Parliament adopted by a large majority the educational pact with the four groups that had agreed to it. The representatives of the PNV and the PSE, members of the Basque Government, have underlined the importance of the agreement. According to Berria, Leixuri Arrizabalaga of the PNV has highlighted the “broad consensus” achieved by the pact, and José Antonio Pastor of the PSE has considered it a “milestone” to have 90% of the votes.

EH Bildu and Elkarrekin-Podemos have also defended the pact. EH Parliamentarian Bildu Ikoitz Arrese has recognised that the pact is not everything his group would want, but he has argued that it is "positive". In the face of criticism from some actors in the field of education and the Basque Country, he pointed out that the pact contemplates measures against segregation and will not weaken the public school. Iñigo Martínez, from Elkarrekin-Podemos, has ensured that the pact bets on the public school and the Basque Country and against segregation.
