The Empty Plaza, organized by Sortu, brings together 350 people in Burlada (Navarra) this weekend. The party has stated that this space is "one of the central moments of the year" of Sortu, together with the National Conference, and this year has launched the "basis for transgressing a new urban era by area".
The first intervention in the morning was the breakdown of the people by Kizkitza Gil de San Vicente and Xabi Iraola, members of the Sortu National Council. Subsequently, they have held workshops on the six strategic areas of Sortu: education, migration, Euskera, feminism, ecology and poverty and social exclusion.
The initiative has brought together teachers, members of the environmental movement, militants of Basque associations, members of the host networks and people from the academic field. The Navarro political leader of Lur Albizu Sortu has shown his optimism: "The union of hundreds of people here demonstrates Sortu's commitment to the construction of this country." He comments that Sortu will continue "with the ambition to respond to current times and challenges".
