On Wednesday, the Public University presented the “Collective Schools” project, which has as its starting point to bring together, from 6 to 15 October, working groups classified by areas of knowledge in different areas of Euskal Herria.

Around the disciplines of art, social sciences, journalism and law, several young people will meet to “put knowledge at the service of the workers’ movement”. The organizers have explained the role of the groups in this new edition: “To contribute each from their field of knowledge”. They also stressed the political role of the seminars: “We want to turn the training received in the degree into a revolutionary tool for the workforce for the capital, organizing it according to our knowledge.”

The initiative that emerged seven years ago on the Leioa campus has so far taken the form of a conference for the exhibition of political content in a few specific days. Since then, hundreds of students have gathered at different campuses in Hego Euskal Herria to participate in the initiative. From now on, however, they have underlined the need to "overcome the limits of its original form and make a deeper political contribution". Therefore, they intend to make it an "institution that contributes to the political context".
