The Government of Navarra has reported that visits will be authorized in exceptional cases in the homes of the elderly: at the time of death, when the neurocognitive decompensation of the resident is alleviated or when the psycho-affective situation of the person is severely affected. In determining the visits, the criterion of residence technicians shall be taken into account. Without entering, they will be able to greet from the outside of the residence and talk to the elders according to the characteristics of the building. In these cases, the Government of Navarre has stated that "regulations on mobility and physical equidistance will be enforced, both with workers and residents and with the rest of the families. To this end, the residences will establish a system of prior appointments that avoids agglomerations of people". It undertakes to study the possibility of visiting the residences from 1 June based on the evolution of COVID-19.

Visits for people with dementia in Álava

The Diputación Foral de Álava has pointed out that, as far as possible in the residences, elderly people with dementia can be visited, whose situation prevents them from communicating with their loved ones through video calls or telephones. In the case of elderly people with psycho-emotional problems, if the area staff assesses that the visit benefits them, visits will be allowed provided that the person to visit has a prior appointment and has no symptoms.

The visits are for the Deputies and the Representative of Gipuzkoa announced on 15 May that he hoped to authorise them on the basis of his plans on 8 June. The workers of the residences interviewed by Naiz expect the same, that they will not start the visits until they change phase on 8 June.
