Children at last!
Bizitza Plataforma 2021eko urriaren 21a

We have started the course by distributing the report of the Life Platform, manually in center, demanding many members and collaborators of Life that the course 2021-2022 be different and that we have to return to a certain normality. From the Educational Delegations we have proposed concrete measures for the progressive relaxation and disappearance of these violent protocols that are imposed:

-Temperature drop off

- Voluntary use of the hydrogel

-Voluntary use of the mask

-Not generating social distances

- Do not allow vaccination in centres

-Do not intimidate or threaten our students

-Do not allow bulling among students for this reason

As of March 2020, the rights of children and youth have remained in the last place in the protocols of Hego Euskal Herria. Most parents will remember that the "needs" of dogs were taken into account, but that boys and girls could not leave the house in those first weeks. Even when the measures started to relax, despite the possibility of expanding bars, outdoor amusement parks continued to be sealed.

"How do you explain that leisure activities are becoming more and more flexible but that there is no progress in schools, sports centers, libraries...?"

The governments of Urkullu and Chivite have put on the table the same protocols as last year were applied for 9 months. What studies have been carried out at that time to see if these measures are effective? During the time that children of Early Childhood Education have been without a mask there has been no worse situation, therefore, has anyone analyzed what has happened compared to the other ages? How do you explain to us that there are increasingly flexible measures in leisure activities but that there is no progress in schools, sports clubs, libraries...? Once again, the basic rights of children are the last!

If in this new course our authorities play courageously and observe what is happening in other countries, they will observe that in Ipar Euskal Herria as of October 4 elementary school children do not use the mask. In Denmark, Estonia, Finland, the United Kingdom (not in Scotland), Hungary, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Sweden it is also not necessary in mask schools. In Germany, they are sent from the age of 12.

Among the measures that do not guarantee the well-being of children and young people, there has been growing concern over the use of the mask in recent weeks. And it's no wonder, because children consume three times more oxygen than adults. Lack of oxygen not only hinders brain development, it causes irreversible damage, and hence the question: What long-term consequences will our children take their breath off every day? And who will be responsible for that damage?

We have already collected 3,200 signatures, so we would like to appeal to participate in the mobilizations that will take place on 22 October in the Departments and Delegations of Education in Vitoria-Gasteiz from 14:00 on the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca to say loud and clear that we want to breathe in the schools.
