Members of 111 Akademia have chosen the novel Fakirraren Ahotsa (Susa, 2018), by Harkaitz Cano, as a winner of this year’s prize. The vote had three phases to choose the winner, and it was imposed at 3 p.m. In the last phase, the author has participated in the novel Amek ez dute (Elkar, 2018) by Katixa Agirre. The award will be delivered on June 6 at the winery of txakoli Hika in Amasa, in Bilbao.
This is not the first time the writer has received the Akademia 111 prize, an award that recognizes her trajectory. In 2011 he did so with the Twist novel (Susa, 2011).
111 Akademia will award for the 23rd time this year. The contest was called Naiz and until 2012 it was called Beterriko Liburua. The objective of the prize is to give voice and prominence to Basque readers in the field of literature.
