Dozens of striking teachers in Vitoria-Gasteiz have responded to the call that has been spread in the networks in a few hours: to shade at 19:00 on Monday afternoon in front of the headquarters of the Basque Government in Lakua, on the lawn next to the bus station, to express their support for the strike dynamics of the unions and to put pressure on the Department of Education.
After a two-hour meeting, the tents were opened and about 40 to 50 people spent the night there.At midnight, the Municipal Police of Vitoria-Gasteiz were present and identified thirteen members.
Professor Arrate Algaba, who has been present at this protest, told LARA that they find it "unacceptable" that in the midst of the strike the Department of Education does not want to negotiate: "They had the last table last week, which was held urgently and urgently, and which ended in the early hours of the morning, because at that time the Department of Education was interested in interrupting the strike dynamics; but since then they have not made any calls - the technical meeting has been cancelled - and we consider it as surprising as it is unacceptable. Progress in the negotiations "requires a framework of trust and stability," the government stressed. He says he wants to "reach consensus and dialogue to prioritize dialogue before the strike."
