The title of this article, in an interview with Arnaldo Otegi, is precisely the one highlighted by Naiz and Gara. I mean, “I’m going to tell you the story you want to hear, and be calm, because we will achieve it with our magic.” Faced with this, we have to say that that story is for certain people.
This is not the case for those who do not have a job, for those who work without contributions or for those who are in the ERE or … This phrase, like that of the unions attached to the Regime (some of 1936 and others of 1978, absolutely economists), has less and less credibility among Basque workers. Unfortunately, they have great difficulty in seeing their enemy classes, both occupants and locals.
Can bourgeois democracy or the dictatorship of capital create and sustain a just social order?
"Twenty-one. We believe that continuing to bet on capitalism in the 21st century is to deny the future to future generations."
The Basque social democracy, in the words of Arnaldo Otegi, is the alternative to the law of the jungle, the social order is fair. It doesn't say that that's not possible within the capitalist system. I mean, lie, it's a shame and a wickedness.
Within capitalism, there is no viable situation for the working class. Throughout history, what the European labour aristocracy has been able to achieve to the maximum has been the achievement of the social well-being that capitalism allowed in several decades of the end of the last century.
This was possible during the periods of economic prosperity, while the USSR was forced to try to distort social advantages and to take advantage of the exploitation of its colonies in Africa and Asia. We are talking about advanced countries and that well-being for a submissive proletariat committed to the capitalist system of its time.
In these times when it has touched us to live, the majority of the peaceful proletarians will not find refuge on the shady slopes of capital, as today the struggle between different powers, interests and capitals is total. That is why the process of awareness, organization and intercommunication of the working class in the world is so necessary.
Is it possible to have a local police force under the double occupation and capitalist systems suffered by Iparralde and Hegoalde?
A local police officer is not characterized by wearing his name in Euskera, nor by wearing a hat, even though the latter is a very red police officer. What really makes sense is to protect the interests of the working class, not the interests of the capitalists and sacrosanct private property.
The National Police, the Civil Guard and some Spanish autonomous police deployed in the Basque Country have the most objective in Euskal Herria, that is, to maintain the order and property of the bourgeoisies. It must be clearly stated that Spanish autonomic poetry feeds on the most corporative, primitive, right-wing and retrograde feelings that can be found among the candidates of citizenship.
Political input from EH Bildu for the next four years
According to EH President Bildu, the rest of us have little news of anything. It accuses the Basque Communist institutions of thoroughness and infantilism and, in general, maintains the historical discourse of social democracy. When they don't have arguments, they start insulting them. New the retiree.
Bet on a broad front. EH Bildu has a speech very similar to that of the PNV. That is logical. The question lies between the different parts of the Basque bourgeoisie. The main problem is that they do not have (and do not want) another option to the barbarism that is going to fall on us. In other words, are you convinced that they will get well from this catastrophe?
You can't imagine that the struggle of every revolution to radically change things is going to condition your personal and family day to day. They are not at the level of the needs of the working class, of a part of the bourgeoisie, but at the level of the small bourgeoisie.
EH Bildu’s management tells us to update the national project
We find it bitter, like EITB-PNV, to treat as stupid. The nation of Basque workers has the right to exist, and there is no "democratic" doubt about this. What matters to us is the right of oppressed classes to achieve and fight for a better future for their generations. Everything else lacks interest, of the oppressed class
Except for the rich without consciousness.
We are not talking about bourgeois law that limits or nullifies all other rights. When capital wanted to decolonize the continents, it did so to further enrich itself. We are not interested in the bourgeois right of self-determination, which will be regulated under dictatorship, over text, time and territory. We are very clear: We demand the right to build a Basque socialist state. And if the bourgeoisie and the big capital refuse, we will again feel the national and class oppression upon our meats.
Is another world possible within the capitalist system?
Already in the 21st century, we believe that continuing to bet on capitalism is to deny the future to future generations. Not only do we need a Basque Social Revolution that radically changes the capitalist system of production. As Che Guevara said, the human factor must always be present.
The radical economic change that occurs in meeting the needs of the whole world cannot be achieved if we are not aware of the main values to be protected: the human being, his well-being, education, health, leisure, equality, humility, collective character, commitment, disinterest… to know that other peoples are on the same path...
