International experts and media forecast that the protests on 3 September will be repeated this autumn, as more and more Czechs are raising voices against the government. On Saturday, some 70,000 people met at the prestigious Wenceslas Square in Prague, under the slogan “Czech Republic Primera”, and asked for the resignation of the Prime Minister, Fundamental, as the newspaper The Guardian has gathered.

Messages against the war in Ukraine and NATO predominated for a number of reasons. In fact, there were extreme right-wing parties among the supporters of the demonstration, but also a communist party. This is explained by the organizers on the web: “We call on all citizens, associations and parties who do not agree with the current policy of the Czech Republic and want to change the political path.” The “Republic of the Czech Republic The First” movement states that they are aimed at peace, economic stability of the country and political independence.

Among other things, the protest showed slogans against the European Union and NATO, as reported by The Guardian. The main demands of the demonstrators are: Suspension of sanctions against Russia by the Czech Government, cessation of arms delivery to Ukraine and new gas agreement with Moscow. They have also asked the authorities to lower the price of electricity to that of a year ago. They warn the Government that if no new elections are convened before 25 September they will continue to organize further protests and strikes.
