Helena Maleno, founder of Walking Borders and human rights activist, denounces what happened. The migrants' boat left the Moroccan city of Tan Tan on its way to the Canaries and sank on July 1. At least 51 migrants have died.

Maleno says on Twitter that there are 11 women and 3 children among the dead, and the four survivors are in the hospital.

“Death is at the border due to the lack of resources for rescue and the poor collaboration of countries to defend life,” Maleno said. "The death toll of the last few weeks," he said that he should not be allowed to grow, remembering recent collapses in Greece and the Canary Islands.
