Grande-Marlaska ceases the head of the Civil Guard in Madrid
  • The dismissal of the head of the Spanish Civil Guard, Diego Pérez de los Cobos, could be related to a report on the 8M demonstrations, according to various means. The Minister of Security, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has claimed "lack of confidence" as far as possible.

The Government of Spain has stopped Colonel Pérez de los Covos, one of the main perpetrators of the Civil Guard’s offensive in Catalonia on October 1, 2017, in a report he was subjected to, according to the Chain Ser. The report deals with the feminist demonstrations of 8 March this year and questions the action of the government delegate in Madrid. In addition, he has also made "serious accusations" against the Health Emergency Coordinator, Fernando Simón, in the case of El País, so "there are also criminal crimes".

The report has been sent by the Civil Guard to Carmen Rodríguez Medel, of the Chamber of Instruction of the Madrid Audience, who investigates whether the judge prevented the demonstrations of 8-M. According to the report, Simon also committed a crime, unlike other acts, as he did not prevent the 8M demonstrations that took place in Barcelona.

The Spanish Government has claimed "lack of confidence" in the cessation of the head of the Civil Guard in Madrid. In his opinion, the report is full of "subjective" valuations and has considered the head of the Madrid Command as his ultimate responsibility.
