The Civil Guard has come to the Parlament for information on a specific act: They want to gather data on the presentation of the referendum on 1 October at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya that took place in July 2017.

According to the agency Efe, the members of the Spanish armed forces have claimed invoices for the payment of the amounts corresponding to this event. Junts pel Yes, the independence platform that brought together Convergència, ERC and independents, already announced at the time that the act of proclamation was paid by its parliamentary group.

Entry into the Parlament has been ordered by the Criminal Court No. 13 of Barcelona. In addition to the Supreme Court judging independence leaders, this Barcelona court also investigates how the referendum on 1 October was prepared. Although on this occasion they have entered the Parliament, the Civil Guard also joined the National Teatre of Catalunya, in July 2017, shortly after the event was held.
