The workers of the Castorama de Angelu (Lapurdi) shops are fighting against the reform of the law. The strike took place on 20 July, as well as last Friday and Saturday. They have denounced that without respecting the negotiations with the workers, they are being made a "real robbery" by removing the premiums or bonuses they receive. On average, workers are charging EUR 2,700 less a year and say they will continue to fight until they pay them. They were going to meet this week with the company management.
The workers recalled that they had to work during confinement and that they had a heavy workload during lockdown. The call, made by the CGT trade union, has been supported by a hundred people, including a hundred. They have pointed out that the company is having more benefits in recent times: "If Kingfisher's stuff is so good, it's thanks to the workers," he added. Kingfisher is a large British group, including Castorama, Brico Dépôt, B&Q and Screwfix.
