The Trenasa workers of the multinational CAF have met this Monday to decide on the mobilizations to be carried out before the closure of the Castejón plant and have called for an indefinite strike. CCOO, the largest trade union at the plant, has "strongly" criticized the decision to close the company's management, "after signing an ERTE in June and receiving public aid of €6 million in 2019".

The Industrial Federation of CCOO considers that "we are dealing with an entrepreneurial culture that tries to maximize workers, with no other objective than to increase profits, since the pandemic has not affected this factory and the group, no demand has been lost, but the group is waiting for the award of very important ones".

In addition, the union has underlined that Sodena "handed over EUR 6 million of public money, which makes unacceptable, among other things, the intention of the management to close the plant at a time when demands and benefits are increasing".
