The Tubacex Works Council has called for a full-day strike on Thursday, 3 December. The strike will begin at 6 a.m. and continue until 24 a.m. the following day.

The workers of the Alavesa plant will have the floor on the same day at the General Boards of Álava. Thus, they have organised a bus to go to Vitoria-Gasteiz, where they will concentrate at 10:00 hours before this institution and before the Basque Parliament.

The committee has informed the workers that in order to sign up on the bus it is necessary to contact the unions and to allow everyone to attend the rally so that they do not have problems going to the capital.

Tubacex workers have been involved in numerous arrests and demonstrations in the autumn against the company’s decision to reduce the cost of 150 workers.
