On Monday, the General Meetings of Gipuzkoa showed that the PNV and the PSE-EE have great difficulties in governing. The agreement for government formation was with the PP, but the popular have not accepted the new budgets. Together too, Podemos said it would not accept them, arguing for the lack of will of nationalist nationalists, and so would the EH Bildu coalition. Maddalen Iriarte argued that he proposed to Deputy General Eider Mendoza the modification of the budget model "dignifying", among other things, the conditions of the staff of nursing homes. Iriarte said the PNV rejected all the "essential" proposals for EH Bildu.

The Government of Mendoza will have the same amount approved for 2023 in 2024: EUR 1.130 million, 30 million less than foreseen in next year’s project.

Problems also in Álava

The emergence of signs of difficulty in governing at the beginning of the legislature is often a worrying problem for the institutions. In Álava a similar formula has been produced to that of Gipuzkoa. "Political failure," as the Alavese representatives of EH Bildu said.

Why the earthquake in Pamplona?

The People's Party supported the government formations of both Gipuzkoa and Álava, but disregards the budgetary proposals. The vote in Álava took place on 14 December, just the day after the announcement of the motion of censure in Pamplona. The relationships between the UPN side and the PP and the PSOE/PSN/PSE side have cooled and worsened significantly, and it is possible that this motion of censure affects the PP of Araba and Gipuzkoa. But before, they hadn't said that the PP's would support these budgets or not.
