La Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa will appeal the ruling in Basque de Uliazpi. The petition for Basque in opposition to 34 public carers was declared illegal this week by the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country at the Uliazpi Foundation. The ruling has lifted powders, including the workers of the Uliazpi Foundation who concentrated on Thursday against the judgment and in defence of language rights.

The Director of Linguistic Equality of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, Garbiñe Mendizabal, has declared before the ruling her "outrage" and "strongest disagreement". Thus, he announced that “the Administration is responsible for providing the best possible service to the families and users of our services, which requires ensuring the linguistic opportunities of the users”.

Finally, he stresses that the "progressive and consensual work" carried out in the Council over the last 40 years has allowed "all services to be provided according to the chosen language of citizenship".
