The Gipuzkoa General Boards have approved the request of the Xua Gurasoen Etxera and Sare platform for the right to decide.
Xua, who was born in the Valencian prison of Picassent, meets the child and his two parents in jail. At 600 kilometers of the family, visiting is a trip of 1,200 kilometers.
The parents of Xua, Olatz Lasagabaster and Patxi Uranga have no blood-related crimes and have served 10 years in jail, more than three-quarters of the sentence. Both, in application of the ordinary legislation of the Spanish State, had to be granted conditional release. The Sare citizen network and the Xua Etxera platform have called for the legality of exception to be eliminated and for Xua to be taken home with her parents.
Haritz Pérez’s tweet highlights that the municipalities of Orio and Usurbil have unanimously requested that Xua return home with her parents. In the video, intervention by Aittor Arantzabal, juntero de EH Bildu en Gipuzkoa:
The municipalities of Orio and Usurbil unanimously ask to bring Xua home with their parents.
The same request has been supported today by 50 of the 51 spokespersons of the General Boards of Gipuzkoa.
It is high time that the emergency laws were broken so that there could be no avoidable suffering. https://t.co/jQ6dWclA8t

Elkarrekin Gipuzkoa states:
In the case of Xua Lasagabaster, Elkarrekin Gipuzkoa is clear that we are dealing with a special case that reminds us of a situation and a dark moment that made too many people suffer.
