After Azpeitia (2019) and Legutio (2020, suspended by the pandemic) have taken advantage of the Socialist Gazte Topagune of Euskal Herria, this year will be the turn of Altsasu. The meeting is organized by the Socialist Youth Coordinator and Ikasle Abertzaleak. As the organizers have explained, “the latest courses have been conditioned by the pandemic and the capitalist crises, with many violations of civil and political rights”. Both GKS and AI members have decided “to continue working in the educational fields within the communist organization, continuing our political activity outside the influence of bourgeois institutions and political parties”.

They have organized the Socialist Meeting “with the aim of increasing the capacity to develop an independent organization, promoting reflection on some current political issues and developing a comprehensive leisure programme”. To reflect, talks have been organized on the capitalist crisis and the foundations of the new socialist strategy, the economic struggles from the socialist point of view, the importance of the fight for political freedoms and the political methodology for dealing with oppression. Together with them, there will be a round table on the political context of Euskal Herria. There will also be concerts, sports shows, Olympics and bertsolaris performances.
