After 1,010 days, the Council of Ministers of Spain modified on Tuesday the decree regulating the compulsory use of the mask. It has been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) that free public transport will not be compulsory.

It will also not be necessary in orthopedics, optical and hearing centers. Yes in hospitals, pharmacies and other health-related centers and establishments.

The Spanish Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, stressed the need to maintain the planned roadmap to return to "normal". The minister has based herself on the "clear downward trend" of COVID19, citing the cumulative incidence of people over 60 years of age. This incidence is the only one already recorded. Moreover, he adds that the hospital occupancy of coronavirus patients is 1.6%. With this data, they have taken the step of banning.
