The Government of Navarra is considering the introduction of the Covid-19 passport for night entertainment
  • The increase in contagion in recent days has occurred mainly from celebrations in closed spaces. Therefore, the Health Advisor has asked for caution, remembering that the use of the mask is mandatory. Should the situation worsen, the department is considering measures such as the Covid-19 passport.

On the last day 114 infections were detected in the 2,317 antigen and PCR tests carried out in all of Navarra. 6 people have had to be hospitalized and one more person has been treated in the ICUs.

With this data in hand, the Health Advisor of Navarra has asked the Navarros for caution, “To enjoy the freedom and the normality that we so wanted is understandable, but now we have to be careful not to lose what we have gained”, said the Health Advisor, Santos Indurain. For the time being, the Government of Navarre does not envisage any setbacks in the rules limiting day-to-day life, but it has explained that decisions will be made on the basis of the situation, rather than unknowns and contagion, taking as a criterion the number of incomes.

In this regard, Santos Indurain explained that “we are valuing all scenarios and also collective measures such as the Covid-19 passport.” This document will be available for both vaccinees and those who have recently passed the disease and will allow access to nightlife, bars and nightclubs. However, as Indurain explained, “in Navarre we still have the conditions to avoid restrictive measures and that will be the task of all”.

The Health Advisor calls for vaccination of Navarros who have not yet received the vaccine: “The equation is clear, the chances of infection and hospitalization are multiplied without vaccine and without kisses,” explains Indurain.
