The presentation of the first initiative of the year took place in the Jimmy Jazz room in Vitoria-Gasteiz and on Tuesday a new edition of the Band Competition was launched. The objective is, among other things, to give an opportunity to unknown groups on the stage.

The competition, among other things, will offer the winning group the opportunity to get on the stage of the Txosnas of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

To do so, any team can participate in this championship, through the registration that will open on the same Tuesday and will last until February 26.

The way to sign up, as explained by the members of the txosnas, is very simple: gasteizkotxosnak.eus enter the website and fill out a form with the data of the members of the group and upload three songs (at least one of them must be in Basque). In addition, you can also send photos, videos or social networks through the form you will find on the website.

Once all the groups are registered, between 5 and 12 March the eight groups classified in the Txosnas of Vitoria will be made known and four of them will go to the end.

The public will choose one of the four posts. The jury of the Txosnas of Vitoria-Gasteiz will decide the other three people who will become part of them. At least one of the four must be from Álava and at least one of them must be female.

The five finalist groups will live on March 25 at the Jimmy Jazz room in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The winner or winner of these four editions will be able to play in the Txosnas of Vitoria-Gasteiz a holiday. In addition, the winning group will receive a prize of EUR 500.

Although the Band Competition will last for months, it will be one of the first initiatives to be announced by the Txosnas of Vitoria-Gasteiz, as more dates and activities will be announced later this year.
