Around twenty Alavese agents protested on Friday with racialized communities and anti-racist agents from Vitoria. In some hotel rooms in Vitoria-Gasteiz claimed the end of the “racist and fraudulent use of the right of recognition”, as three Senegalese denounced the refusal to enter the bar La Comarca (Vitoria) on the night of 30 September. Not only did they deny entry, but they explained that when one of the Senegalese boys wanted to file a formal complaint, “not to have heeded”.
The right of admission is not a right of exclusion. No racism! They have protested under the motto and dozens of citizens have come to support them. Claims such as “The same rights for all”, “Unreserved rights” and “non-racism” have been observed, among others. The organization of the meeting denounces that it is not an isolated case: “This fact is not one-off. It is another that joins the long list of racist events that Basque Africans and racist people suffer every day.”
