The Gaztetxe de Vitoria-Gasteiz has denounced the “police aggressions (fines, identifications, permanent prison…) they have suffered in recent months and under the “excuse of COVID-19”, criminalization and general uncertainty. They also want to point out "the senseless institutional measures and policies that seek to keep self-managed centres and gaztetxes closed". In fact, last Saturday, the police identified in the Gaztetxe several members of the organization, prohibiting them from being found in space again.

Therefore, and “so that we do not lose our spaces, we have to choose to defend gaztetxes, to guarantee the control and use of them”. To do so, the Gaztetxe has called a repulsive rally for this Saturday. Finally, he has invited to participate in the “Lehertu Gasteiz” demonstration that will bring to the streets the demands of self-managed spaces and the occupation.

The concentration will take place on May 12, Wednesday, at 19:00 in Plaza Nueva. The demonstration, for its part, will start on Saturday, May 15 at 18:00 hours from the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca.
