This Saturday, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the Championship of Álava Interquadrillas has been presented, a project by teams. The 2010 Bertsolaris Interquadrilles Championship of Álava has been a milestone for the Bertsolaris Bertsolaris. Since then, this group initiative has been organized every two years, which this year reaches its eighth edition.

Gerezti Unanue, of the Inkonstantinkoplan poto group (Gasteiz) and Aitor Najera, of the Gara 4 group (Lautada), started the presentation and Egoitz Iradier, head of Promotion of the Association, has continued to give details.

Since 2018, the 2025 Álava Group will have the championship format following the inter-group editions that will be presented, but in the pre-competition phase, following the 2014 and 2016 meeting model, each group will organize the Bertso Eguna de la Cuadrilla in its locality or region. Therefore, 14 days of Bertsolaris de Cuadrilla will be held in 8 counties of Álava, in total 14 activities. Then the 4 semifinals and the grand final of the tournament will be issued.

The groups shall consist of 9-12 persons: 3-6 bertsolaris, gaiters, judges, audio recorders, chroniclers, photographers… 76 people in bertsos, 17 judges, 21 people in labors and a lot of collaborators.

The following regions are involved: Aiaraldea, Rioja Alavesa, Alavesa Mountain, Treviño, Añana, Lautada, Gorbeialdea (four teams) and Vitoria (four teams).

The organization shared between the Bertso-Eskolas and Arabako Bertsozale Elkartea, collectively based on popular Bertso-Eskolas, will extend from 22 January to 5 April.
