The feminist holiday protocol of the neighborhoods of Vitoria-Gasteiz aims to establish common principles, principles and values that help combat the aggressions. Situations and contexts are “varied” and will adapt to the reality of the moment. As of June 7, the Vitoria-Gasteiz Feminist Movement has launched a telephone number to denounce the attacks, respond to them and accompany the people bought. The phone will remain active 24 hours: 7414834.
The protocol is articulated around three main axes, first of all pedagogy: "This protocol aims at reflection, training and collective work on violence." Secondly, prevention: because the protocol is a tool to "ensure" the protection of the community by denouncing or combating a situation of aggression: "It can work as an instrument for preventing attacks through the deterrent function." Finally, the protocol aims to show a "strong attitude" against the aggressions: "We create resources and instruments to articulate collective responses."
Collective responsibility
The Vitoria-Gasteiz Feminist Movement has emphasized that intersectionality is a protocol based on gender, age, race or origin, functional diversity, social class, etc. "We want to drive safer spaces for everyone."
They add that the protocol commitment should go "beyond" the Feminist Movement, because it is the responsibility of "all" who participate in the festivities: "The aggressors do not live in isolation, and often aggressive behaviors or direct aggression can be identified in the nearby environment". They highlight the "great concern" of men in prevention.
