Rishi Suna, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, announces some 100 authorisations for oil and gas holdings. It says that the aim is to reduce energy dependence with other countries. Euronews explains that it will start licensing from the autumn.
They have also announced two major carbon capture infrastructures, with a total budget of EUR 23 billion. One will be in St. Fergus (Scotland) and will store polluting emissions under the sea. The other will be similar to the previous one, but located in Humber (England).
