BDZ Group of Euskal Herria calls to boycott Carrefour for Christmas
  • The group has wondered about Christmas "if there is no Zionist at the table". The boycott has caused the supermarket to drop in its sales and has decided to stop operating in Jordan, the main protection given to Israel in the Arab world.

The BDS group of Euskal Herria – Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions – organised mobilisations on 7 December against Carrefour in Oiartzun, Olaberria, Bilbao and Pamplona for “economic agreements and relations with Israel”. The international BDS movement has targeted companies such as Carrefour, McDonald's, Starbucks, Puma, Axa, Siemens and HP to develop strategic campaigns for the economic boycott, which will be carried out under the motto "Don't feel Zionists at your Christmas table".

In 2022, Carrefour signed an agreement with the companies Electra Consumer Products and Yenot Bi, operating in the Cisjordanian colonies, making the French multinational part of the occupation of Palestinian lands. In addition, Israeli Carrefour has supported the genocide in Gaza with gifts to the Zionist soldiers participating in it.

Once boicots

In May of this year the BDZ group of Arrasate managed to eliminate an Israeli-derived product from the Douglas perfumery of the town, specifically the mineral salts of the Dead Sea of the Alma-K brand. In October, the same group succeeded in getting Eroski and Alcampo de Musakola to withdraw the dates produced in Israel, as well as a product from the Garden Gourmet brand in Eroski. The team called the news “important victory.”
