The finance ministers of the G7 countries and central bank leaders have acknowledged that companies like Facebook, Google, Amazon or Apple will have to pay taxes in every country where it becomes effective. In addition, they have expressed concern about virtual currencies such as Libra planned on Facebook and the need to regulate them strictly so that the global financial system does not change.

French Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, stated that: “We have decided that the G7 countries should put a minimum tax on private companies. We want to put an end to the aggressive tax competition between states and to the actions of large companies that find ways not to pay taxes.”
