The 32-year-old journalist was at the time of the bombing with four other colleagues who have gone well. It has occurred around 16:30 in the vicinity of Tchassiv Iar, in the Ukrainian village of the Bakhmut area.

"His death is a reminder of the dangers that journalists face every day when they announce the conflict in Ukraine," says the CEO of the agency Fabrice Fries.

In a brief note released by the Agency itself it says that they are "depressed" and shows their support for the journalist's relatives.

The Commission on the Protection of Journalists and Journalists Without Borders estimates that at least eleven journalists have been killed since Russia began the Ukrainian invasion on 24 February 2022.
