The distribution of wealth, social justice or society without classes are concepts that are accepted almost unanimously. But that universal recognition is not reflected in political representation, in elections. Not in the proportion that I should. Why? Without going into the general crisis of the left, on the other hand, already overcome, we can find the problem in the practice of communication.
On the one hand, because the message is no longer the only element in reporting our project. What we want to explain is going to be conditioned by different external factors. So, more important than what we count is how we count it. And in this sense, it is essential to influence the emotions and feelings of the receiver of our message to make him feel part of the project we offer. Our recipient should regard our offer as a valid proposal for him and not as a whim of a particular political sector.
On the other hand, the Left has used too much the antonomic strategy to explain its project. In other words, to criticize the current system so that our alternative is considered indispensable. On this road, however, we have deepened criticism more than on the alternative and, furthermore, we have not realised that in the system we criticised, so far, many people have lived well.
To prove that our project is good, we do not need another worse one, but a complete conviction. And with that conviction, we have to influence the emotions of others, to begin to overcome our frustration, the frustration of the left.
