Sahra Wagenknecht, one of the leaders of the parliamentary group Die Linke, presented last Monday in Berlin the Aufstuden movement. Wagenknecht says that we are witnessing the crisis of democracy in Germany.

An example of this is the xenophobic march that took place last week in Chemnitz. According to the parliamentarian, not only did people from the far-right go to the appointment, but "people who do not feel represented" have also come together.

The new movement wants to put social justice at the centre of its policy and wants to get into the debate on migrants. However, Wagenknecht has explained that the issue of migrants will not become the main line of the movement.
